انطلقت في حي الأكراد بمنطقة ركن الدين بدمشق عملية توثيق واسعة لأسماء الشهداء والمفقودين نتيجة جرائم النظام السابق، في مبادرة تهدف إلى حفظ الذاكرة الجماعية وإعداد ملف قانوني يدعم مسار العدالة الانتقالية والمحاسبة.

تستند هذه المبادرة التي بدأت قبل ثلاثة أسابيع إلى جهود مجتمعية بالتعاون مع الأهالي ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، حيث تم توثيق أسماء وصور أكثر من 600 شهيد ومفقود في الحي، مع إمكانية زيادة العدد بسبب عدم تسجيل بعض العائلات أسماء أبنائها حتى الآن.

وأوضحت الناشطة في التنسيقية، ميديا عكو، أن الهدف من التوثيق هو إحياء الذاكرة الجماعية للحي وتحضير ملف قانوني يسهم في محاسبة المسؤولين عن الجرائم المرتكبة ضد المدنيين، مشيرة إلى أن الغالبية العظمى من الشهداء من فئة الشباب، وأن أكثر من 80% من الحالات الموثقة تخص شهداء اعتقال فقد أثرهم داخل مراكز الاحتجاز دون معلومات رسمية عن مصيرهم.

من جانبها، أفادت ميديا ظاظا، إحدى منسقات المبادرة، أن معظم حالات الفقدان وقعت بين عامي 2012 و2013، وأن 90% من المفقودين اعتقلهم عناصر أمن النظام السابق، مشيرة إلى أن عملية التوثيق تتم من خلال جهود مجتمعية لأبناء الحي بالتواصل مع الأهالي عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.

شهادة عائلية حول حالات الاعتقال

قدمت الناشطة مريم اليافي شهادة مؤثرة عن فقدانها ثلاثة من إخوتها الذين اعتقلوا في فترات مختلفة بين 2011 و2014، حيث تسلمت شهادة وفاة لأحدهم عام 2014 من سجن صيدنايا، فيما لا يزال مصير الاثنين الآخرين مجهولاً.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذه المبادرة تطوعية نظمها شباب من حي ركن الدين، وتُعتبر خطوة أخلاقية ووطنية تجاه الضحايا وذويهم، وركيزة لضمان عدم طي هذه الجرائم دون محاسبة.

The Kurdish neighborhood coordination in the Rukn al-Din area of Damascus has launched an extensive documentation process for the names of martyrs and missing persons resulting from crimes committed by the former regime. This initiative aims to preserve collective memory and create a legal file to support transitional justice and accountability.

The initiative, which began three weeks ago, relies on community efforts in cooperation with families and social media platforms. More than 600 martyrs and missing persons have been documented so far, with the number expected to rise as some families have yet to register their relatives' names.

Activist Media Akko confirmed that the goal of this process is to revive the neighborhood's collective memory and prepare a legal file that contributes to holding those responsible for crimes against civilians accountable. She noted that the vast majority of martyrs are young people and that over 80% of the documented cases involve detainees who disappeared inside detention centers with no official information about their fate.

Coordinator Media Daza added that most disappearances occurred between 2012 and 2013, with 90% of the missing arrested by security forces of the former regime. She emphasized that the documentation process is carried out through community efforts by neighborhood residents communicating with families via social media.

Family Testimony on Detention Cases

Activist Maryam Al-Yafi shared a moving testimony about her personal suffering, having lost three brothers who were detained at different times between 2011 and 2014. She received a death certificate for one brother in 2014 from Sednaya Prison, while the fate of the other two remains unknown.

This voluntary initiative was organized by youth from Rukn al-Din neighborhood as a moral and national responsibility towards victims and their families, serving as a foundation to ensure these crimes are not forgotten without accountability.
