بدأت في مدينة الرستن أعمال مشروع تزفيت الطرق ضمن فعاليات حملة “أربعاء الرستن”، بهدف تحسين الخدمات وتسهيل حركة المرور، وذلك في إطار جهود إعادة الإعمار وترميم البنى التحتية المتضررة.

وأوضح رئيس لجنة متابعة أعمال حملة “أربعاء الرستن” قاسم منصور لمراسل العاصمة نيوز، أن المشروع يركز على تزفيت الطرق التي تشهد كثافة مرورية، حيث تم اختيار الشوارع الأكثر ازدحاماً بعد دراسة ميدانية، والعمل على ترميمها بما يتوفر من إمكانيات، مما يساهم في تحسين حركة المرور وتخفيف الأعباء عن المواطنين.

وأشار منصور إلى أن المدينة لا تزال بحاجة إلى العديد من الأعمال الخدمية بعد الدمار الكبير الذي خلفه النظام السابق على مدار سنوات، مشيداً بجهود المتبرعين وأبناء المدينة الذين ساهموا في إنجاز المشروع، وداعياً إلى مواصلة دعم مبادرات الإعمار خاصة في مجالات البنى التحتية والمدارس وتزفيت الطرق وترميم شبكات الصرف الصحي.

من جهته، أكد رئيس مجلس مدينة الرستن المهندس عبد الرزاق طقطق في تصريح مماثل، أن المجلس بدأ بتنفيذ مشروع تزفيت الطرق الرئيسية والفرعية لخدمة الأهالي ومعالجة الأضرار الكبيرة التي لحقت بالطرق والبنى التحتية جراء ممارسات النظام السابق خلال السنوات الماضية.

وأضاف طقطق أنه تم إعداد دراسة فنية متكاملة للمشروع وبدأ التنفيذ بتمويل من حملة “أربعاء الرستن”، بهدف تأهيل أكبر عدد ممكن من الطرق ضمن الإمكانيات المتاحة، مع التركيز على الطرق الأكثر تضرراً، مشيراً إلى أن العمل يسير بشكل منظم مع متابعة مستمرة لتوفير التمويل اللازم حسب الاحتياجات.

وعبر المواطن فيصل العيسى عن شكره لحملة “أربعاء الرستن” ولكل القائمين على المشاريع الخدمية في المدينة، مؤكداً أن هذه الجهود تسهم في إعادة بناء ما دمرته الحرب، معرباً عن أمله في أن تبنى مدينة الرستن من جديد بشكل أفضل بعزيمة وهمّة أبنائها.

ويأتي هذا المشروع ضمن الجهود المحلية والمجتمعية لتحسين الواقع الخدمي في مدينة الرستن، وتعزيز الشراكة بين المجتمع المحلي والجهات الخدمية، بما يسرع من وتيرة التعافي وإعادة الإعمار.

يُذكر أن حملة “أربعاء الرستن” التي انطلقت في تشرين الأول الماضي جمعت تبرعات بقيمة إجمالية بلغت 3 ملايين و815 ألف دولار لدعم المشاريع الخيرية والتنموية في مدينة الرستن بريف حمص.

Road paving works have commenced in Al-Rastan city within the activities of the “Al-Rastan Wednesday” campaign, aiming to improve public services and facilitate traffic flow, as part of reconstruction efforts and repairing damaged infrastructure.

Qasim Mansour, head of the follow-up committee for the “Al-Rastan Wednesday” campaign, told Capital News correspondent that the project targets paving roads with high traffic density. The most congested streets were selected after a field study and are being repaired within available capabilities to enhance traffic movement and ease the burden on citizens.

Mansour pointed out that the city still requires many service works following the extensive destruction caused by the previous regime over the years. He praised the efforts of donors and city residents who contributed to the project and called for continued support of reconstruction initiatives, especially in infrastructure, schools, road paving, and sewage network rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Engineer Abdul Razzaq Taqtaq, head of Al-Rastan City Council, confirmed in a similar statement that the council has started implementing the paving project for main and secondary roads to serve residents and address the significant damages inflicted on roads and infrastructure due to the previous regime's practices over the past years.

Taqtaq explained that a comprehensive technical study was prepared for the project, which began with funding from the “Al-Rastan Wednesday” campaign. The aim is to rehabilitate as many roads as possible within available resources, prioritizing the most damaged roads. He noted that work is progressing in an organized manner with continuous follow-up to secure necessary funding according to needs.

Citizen Faisal Al-Issa expressed his gratitude to the “Al-Rastan Wednesday” campaign and all those involved in service projects in the city, affirming that these efforts contribute to rebuilding what war has destroyed. He expressed hope that Al-Rastan city will be rebuilt better than before with the determination and zeal of its people.

This project is part of local and community efforts to improve service conditions in Al-Rastan city and strengthen the partnership between the local community and service entities, accelerating recovery and reconstruction pace.

It is noteworthy that the “Al-Rastan Wednesday” campaign, launched last October, collected donations totaling 3 million 815 thousand dollars to support charitable and developmental projects in Al-Rastan city in Homs countryside.
