نظّم القائمون على مبادرة \"الوفاء\" اليوم فعالية شعبية تضمنت إقامة صلاة الجمعة على أنقاض جامع النور في حي الخالدية بمدينة حمص، والذي تعرّض لتدمير جزئي جراء قصف النظام السابق، تمهيداً لانطلاق أعمال إعادة إعمار الجامع غداً السبت.

وأوضح منسق حملة الوفاء طارق بدرخان في تصريح لـ العاصمة نيوز أن المبادرة انطلقت من جامع النور في حي الخالدية، الذي شهد انطلاق أولى المظاهرات وشيّع منه عدد من شهداء الثورة، مشيراً إلى أن الفعالية شملت زيارة لعوائل الشهداء في حي كرم شمشم، بهدف ترسيخ الذاكرة الوطنية لدى الجيل الجديد.

من جانبه أكد خطيب جامع النور الكبير الشيخ حكمت المصري في خطبة الجمعة وسط حضور واسع من أهالي الحي أن زمن الظلم ولى، وأن جامع النور وحي الخالدية وحمص بأكملها تعد من أهم رموز الصمود الراسخة في وجه القمع والتدمير، مثنياً على تضحيات أبناء الحي الذين كانوا من أوائل الشهداء.

بدوره بيّن أيمن مشارقة أحد أبناء الحي أن عائلته قدمت العديد من الشهداء خلال الثورة، داعياً الشباب إلى التمكين والثبات بعد تحقيق النصر، مشيراً إلى أن جامع النور جامع عريق خرج منه العديد من العلماء.

فيما قال المحامي عبد الرحمن العلي ابن أحد الشهداء: إن فعالية اليوم تمثل وقفة وفاء للتضحيات وفخراً بانتصار الثورة، مطالباً بتحقيق العدالة الانتقالية ومحاسبة المجرمين.

وتخللت الفعالية كلمات فخر واعتزاز بتضحيات الشهداء، أكد من خلالها المشاركون أن إقامة الصلاة في هذا المكان تمثل رسالة صمود ووفاء لأرواح الشهداء، لمواصلة التمسك بالقيم الروحية والوطنية التي يجسدها الجامع في ذاكرة أبناء الحي.

وانطلقت مبادرة الوفاء في حمص في 12 أيلول الماضي بهدف زيارة عائلات الشهداء وتكريمهم وتوثيق قصصهم ونقلها للأجيال القادمة، ثم توسعت لتشمل أنشطة مجتمعية أخرى كدعم ومساندة الأسر العائدة من النزوح والتهجير.

The organizers of the \"Al-Wafaa\" initiative held a popular event today that included performing Friday prayer on the ruins of Al-Noor Mosque in the Khalidiya neighborhood of Homs city, which suffered partial destruction due to shelling by the former regime, paving the way for the start of reconstruction work tomorrow, Saturday.

Al-Wafaa campaign coordinator Tariq Badrkhan told Capital News that the initiative started at Al-Noor Mosque in Khalidiya, which witnessed the first demonstrations and from which several revolution martyrs were mourned. He pointed out that the event included visits to the families of martyrs in the Karm Shamsham neighborhood, aiming to strengthen national memory among the new generation.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Hikmat Al-Masri, the preacher of the Great Al-Noor Mosque, confirmed in his Friday sermon, with a wide attendance of neighborhood residents, that the era of oppression has ended, and that Al-Noor Mosque, Khalidiya neighborhood, and the entire city of Homs are among the most prominent symbols of steadfastness against repression and destruction. He praised the sacrifices of the neighborhood’s residents, who were among the first martyrs.

Ayman Masharqa, a local resident, stated that his family sacrificed many martyrs during the revolution, calling on the youth to empower themselves and remain steadfast after victory was achieved. He also noted that Al-Noor Mosque is an ancient mosque that produced many scholars.

Lawyer Abdulrahman Al-Ali, son of a martyr, said the event represents a stand of loyalty to the sacrifices and pride in the revolution’s victory, demanding transitional justice and accountability for criminals.

The event included speeches of pride and honor for the martyrs’ sacrifices, where participants affirmed that holding prayer at this site sends a message of steadfastness and loyalty to the souls of the martyrs, continuing to uphold the spiritual and national values embodied by the mosque in the memory of the neighborhood’s residents.

The Al-Wafaa initiative in Homs was launched on September 12 with the aim of visiting martyr families, honoring them, documenting their stories, and passing them on to future generations. It later expanded to include other community activities such as supporting families returning from displacement and migration.
