التقى محافظ درعا أنور الزعبي اليوم مع الفعاليات الاجتماعية والثقافية والخدمية في مدينة بصرى الشام بريف درعا، خلال زيارة لتكريم سيدة تبرعت بمصاغها الذهبي الذي تحتفظ به منذ أكثر من ستين عاماً لحملة “أبشري حوران”.

وأكد الزعبي في كلمته خلال اللقاء على أهمية التلاحم البناء بين الشعب وقيادته، مشيداً بالدور الذي يقوم به أبناء درعا في مسيرة التطوير والبناء، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الزيارة تأتي تكريماً لكل الأمهات اللاتي قدمن الغالي والنفيس من أجل الخلاص من النظام السابق.

واستعرض الزعبي المشاريع المتعلقة بالمياه والصحة والتعليم، والجهود الحكومية المبذولة لضمان وصول المواطنين إلى الأمن والاستقرار وتحقيق متطلبات الحياة الكريمة، مشيراً إلى أن مشكلة نقص المياه في المدينة ستزول بفضل زيادة عدد الآبار التي تخدم المنطقة.

من جانبه، أشار الطبيب الجراح فايز العدوي، ابن المتبرعة، إلى الجهود الحكومية المستمرة في دعم عملية البناء، مؤكداً وقوف الجميع إلى جانب الدولة بكل الإمكانات للنهوض مجدداً، وأن تضحيات الشعب السوري من أجل حريته ستبقى خالدة في ذاكرة الشعوب.

وقدّم المحافظ هدية رمزية تعبيراً عن الوفاء والمحبة للمتبرعة، بحضور الفعاليات الرسمية والشعبية في المحافظة ومنطقة بصرى الشام.

يذكر أن حملة “أبشري حوران” التي انطلقت في 25 آب الماضي، حققت مبلغاً إجمالياً بلغ 44 مليوناً و325 ألفاً و106 دولارات أمريكية.

Daraa Governor Anwar Al-Zaabi met today with social, cultural, and service activists in Bosra al-Sham city, countryside of Daraa, during a visit to honor a woman who donated her gold jewelry, kept for more than sixty years, to the “Good News Hauran” campaign.

In his speech during the meeting, Al-Zaabi emphasized the importance of constructive unity between the people and their leadership, praising the role of Daraa’s residents in development and construction efforts. He noted that his visit honors all mothers who have sacrificed dearly for liberation from the former regime.

Al-Zaabi reviewed projects related to water, health, and education, and the government’s efforts to ensure citizens achieve security, stability, and a decent livelihood. He indicated that the water scarcity issue in the city is being resolved due to the increased number of wells supplying the area.

Surgeon Dr. Fayez Al-Adawi, son of the honored donor, highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to advance the reconstruction process, affirming full support for the state with all available capabilities to rebuild anew. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the Syrian people for their freedom will remain immortal in the memory of nations.

The governor presented a symbolic gift as a token of loyalty and appreciation to the donor, in the presence of official and popular figures in the governorate and Bosra al-Sham region.

It is noteworthy that the “Good News Hauran” campaign, launched on August 25, has raised a total amount of 44,325,106 US dollars.
